i) Draw (using graph paper) a flow net for the sheet piling configuration whose cross section is illustrated in Figure Q3.
ii) Calculate the water flow under the pile per metre length of piling assuming the soil to have a permeability k = 1.3 × 10-4 m/s.
Drawing flownet is not a big task.it is just a way to show pattern of how flow is taking place and how drop in potential of flow taking place.
So ,for drawing flownet we have to just keep a statement in mind and that statement is :- equipotential lines and flowlines are perpendicular to each other at each point..... .
Now see the attachment

Question 1 Sheet Draw a flow net for a single row of sheet piles driven into a permeable layer as shown in the figure, given the following: pile ·H2 = 0.7 m ; D1-10 m . Calculate the seepage loss per meter k = 6.5 × 10-4 cm/sec length of the sheet pile (at right angles to the cross section shown) :29-452Impermeable ayer

I need help to write a nice introduction for experiment 6
please ( no hands write ) typing
Thank you
HEAT TREATMENT OF STEELS EXPERIMENT 6 EXPERIMENT 6 HEAT TREATMENT OF STEELS THEORY The Effect of Cooling Rate One of the most convenient methods for controlling the properties of a given steel, i.e., a steel whose composition is already fixed, consists of austenizing the steel and ten cooling to room temperature at some predetermined rate. A variation of cooling rates...
