Would you say that the choice of project managers & members based on Skills but also on culture would be adapted by the kind of Project that you are managing? You may base your answer on the example in the text with the Swiss approach vs American’s one.

In my opinion, the choice of project managers & members is not only based on skills but also on culture that would be adapted by the kind of project being managed. This is because though the knowledge, skillsets and experience definitely plays its part in selecting project managers and the team members for any particular project and is a big factor but for specific projects which relate to understanding the customer psyche in particular regions and cultures and understanding their local cultures and traditions, it is important to include project managers and team members who are of same culture as well. This helps in getting to know and understand the local culture and traditions being followed in that particular region and also helps to drive the project in a better manner by designing the products and services in accordance with the local customer demands and preferences. Hence it is important to have a diverse project team which can understand the customers and use those important insights in developing the project further to the advantage of the organization and to achieve organizational goals.
