Answer #1

1. Bring data in to excel sheet

2.Select both x and y variable and insert scatter plot chart. Select any data point in the excel and add trend line. In the format trend line option choose "Linear" and also select "Display an equation on chart"

TI D с E G I J K - L M N o P Format Trendline o Trendline Options 120 + 100 y = 4.274x + 53.183 Linear 80 O Logarithmic 60 o

Round answers to whole number:

120 100 y = 4x + 53 80 60 40 20 0 0 2 4 6 8 10 12

Regression equation:

y = 4x + 53

(b) Prediction of student who studied for 6 hours

x = 6

y = 4x + 53

y = 4*(6) + 53 = 77

The predicted score is 77
