Draw perpandicular from Y to 200 m segment. Named Y'. Now Y' has the same length of Y. i,e. 50 m ,thus Y'X will have 150 m (200-50=150)

YY' has 100 m length

Consider the R. triangle YY'X

Using pythegorean theoram

XY=\sqrt{YY'^2+Y'X^2}

XY=\sqrt{100^2+150^2}

XY=\sqrt{32500}

XY=180.27 \cong 180

Length of XY is 180 m
