Can you point to times you did or did not learn from someone else?

I did learn from my mother alot. She was unable to speak english so never wanted that to become a wekness in me too. But her bravery had no bounds. She got me educated from teh best school and used to visit my teachers so often. She used to be very bold and say to all my teachers that she cannot speak English but will do everything to make me learn it in the best possible manner. I really admire this trait in her and feel it is so solid to have this in me.
