Impact of riots :

  • For any damages done to private properties like vehicles and cars, huge losses in money are incurred owing to property claims
  • Instances like looting and destruction to small business owners disrupt their businesses and the government has to pay them off, which increases government spending
  • Businesses and normal public life comes to a halt, which reduces aggregate demand, hence, economic economic growth stagnates
  • Normal life is also affected, when employees are unable to go to work. This increases cost to the employers.
