Ans) Uneven heating means convention. Uneven heating of earth means that a part of atmosphere is is more warmer than the other part and causes a change in its volume as well as pressure which forms the updraft and can result in thunderstorm and other violent conditions.

It is because the earth is tilted on its axis. As a result , the equator heats faster as compared to other region because rays of sun fall on the equator directly. Therefore , uneven heating causes global circulation pattern.

Example : The abundant energy which reached the equator produces the air hot and humid as a result , it rises up in the atmosphere.
