The cost and sales both are numerical data. A company wants to study how its cost affect sales.

The regression analysis is good method to estimate relationship between dependant and independent variable here obviously sales is dependent on the cost.

Y is independent variable which is Sales

X is dependent variable cost.

We can estimate regression coefficient to see relationship between X and Y.
