magnetic field due to current-carrying wire at the location of charge is,

B= \frac{\mu_0 I}{2 \pi r}

= (2 x 10-7) x 3.70 / 1.50

= 4.93 x 10-7 T , directed into the page

( note that \frac{\mu_ 0}{2 \pi } = 2 x 10-7 )

magnetic force on the charge is given by,

F = Q v B

= 1.00 x 3250 x (4.93 x 10-7 )

= 1.60 x 10-3 N
