A The organism is Tape worm or Taenia solium.
B. B arrow indicates the location of the eggs in this organism.
( B represent the bilobed ovary of the tape worm where eggs are present. A represent the testis.)
Taenia solium is a worm coming under phylum Platyhelminthes and they are more prevalent in areas where humans live in close contact with pigs and eat undercooked pork. In human the tape worm remain in intestine where it absobs most of hosts digested food and grow an dthe person become extremely weak. Tape worms are hermaphrodites in which functional reproductive organs of both sexes occur in the same individual. The mature segment of the worm containing eggs breaks off from the tail and are then pass out of human, through faeces, which are then passed to pig when it accidently consume the faeces. The egg then hatch inside the pig , and the larvae settle in the muscle of pig. When human consumes the pig meat under cooked , the larvae enters into human and develop.
