Answer #1

Resistance of the first resistor = R1 = 4 \Omega

Resistance of the second resistor = R2 = 3 \Omega

Resistance of the third resistor = R3 = 3 \Omega

Resistance of the fourth resistor = R4 = 3 \Omega

The resistors R3 and R4 are in series connection.

Equivalent resistance of R3 and R4 = R5

R5 = R3 + R4

R5 = 3 + 3

R5 = 6 \Omega

Now the resistors R1 , R2 and R5 are in parallel connection.

Equivalent resistance of R1 , R2 and R5 = R6

\frac{1}{R_{6}} = \frac{1}{R_{1}} + \frac{1}{R_{2}} + \frac{1}{R_{5}}

\frac{1}{R_{6}} = \frac{1}{4} + \frac{1}{3} + \frac{1}{6}

R6 = 1.33 \Omega

Equivalent resistance for the circuit = 1.33 \Omega
