Answer #1

A merry-go-round spends freely when diego moves quickly to the centre along a radius of the merry Go round as he does this it is true to say that the moment of the inertia of the system decreases and the angular speed increases it is so because of of the conservation of angular momentum.

Since angular momentum is the product of moment of inertia and angular speed thus as he moves towards the centre, the moment of inertia decreases and ultimately the angular speed needs to be increased so that the product of moment of inertia and angular speed remains constant to ensure the conservation of angular momentum.
