Question
Describe any differences or similarities in the distribution of Tasmanian devil head-to-tail length depending on whether they have DFT or not using your comparative boxplot from Part 3a. Include in your answer comments on shape, location, and spread.

this is picture form Part 3a. Plesae make sure include shape, location and sperad!!!!!!!!!

HTL VS Health of Tasmanian devil 70 65 HTL 60 55 T 0 1 Health

HTL which is its head-to-tail length in centimetres, Health which indicates if that devil has DFT (1 if they do, and 0 if they do not)

Answer #1

1.Shape :

Both the boxplots with DFL and without DFL are left skewed because the median is towards the larger values.

I.e. Both are similar in skewness

2. Spread and location:

The boxplot for Without DFT ( i.e. health = 0 ) has larger values for HTL, it is spread from 55 to 70 HTL.

and the boxplot for with DFT ( i.e. health = 1) is spread from values less than 55 to 65.

3. The boxplot for Without DFT ( i.e. health = 0 ) has median around 64 and the boxplot for with DFT ( i.e. health = 1) has median around 60

The diagram above is data of current Tasmanian devils HTL length. 2. Let u be the population mean of Tasmanian devil head-to-tail lengths (in centimetres) in all of Tasmania now (2020). The research team decides to compare the current Tasmanian devil head-to-tail lengths mean with the mean from 20 years ago. The known mean Tasmanian devil head-to-tail lengths from 20 years ago is 65 cm. (a) Test the hypothesis whether y has changed from 65 cm. You must summarize all...
