how would your needs change if you won a 20 million dollar lottery. I want you to think about your own decisions you will fulfill first. biological needs, during this time with corona spreading out of control what would it help to even have all that millions and sick? without safety needs (someone might break in your house ) your social life will change and friends will multiply? and that special seone will give you the time of the day finally... education honor and kindness can not be stolen even by the best of thieves, they are all ours to keep no matter what. so does achievement brings happiness, and is more needed than winning the lottery to accomplish that? please think about all that you will change in your life to better or worse. in your answer I would like you to consider the reason that Maslow emphasizes that only 1% of the population arrives at self actualization, a humanistic need botn in all of us. at least 300 words.

Ans According to me, achievement brings happiness, and is more needed than winning the lottery because I always strive for happinness in life. And, accomplishing happiness involves achieving my goals. By comparing it to Maslow's hierarchy of needs, it is important to fulfil one's basic needs i.e food,shelter and money and I'm blessed with all that.Then, comes the safety and security needs, it is again fulfilled as I'm blessed with a family which is there to make me feel secure. Further, love and belongingness needs, that is again fulfilled with the love of my family. Next is the self-esteem needs which is enhanced by developing a sense of self-worth, which I'm currently working on and hoping to reach my highest potential i.e self actualisation. So for me, happiness definitely comes from achievements rather than winning any lottery. However there can be individual differences and it may vary from culture to culture and context to context. Also, the reason that Maslow emphasized that only 1% of the population arrives at self actualization is again due to different mindset of people, wherein they might value money more than happiness, then again it should be left to one's appraisal of the situation.
