1) 19th amendment to the US constitution gave the woman right to vote.The bill introducing the amendment to the constitution was passed by the US congress on 4th June 1919. The amendment was finally ratified on 18th August 1920.

> 36th state which ratified the amendment was Tennessee. The amendment guarantees right to vote to all the women. The final success which was achieved in 1920 years long struggle by women which began in the middle of the 19th century .

2) The origin of the word "boycott" is attributed to an infamous rent dispute between small group of Irish tenants and an English man ,Captain Charles Cunningham Boycott, a former soldier I'm the English army who settled in north east Ireland in 1853 and became a land agent for an important lrish land lord, the Earl of Erne.

To protest the exorbitant rents and the eviction of Irish farmers , a mass movement known as the Land Legue called for a general strike as well as the social and economic ostracism of Captain Boycott. The movement grew to a national scale from the county of Mayo ,and the term struck. By the time the strategy arrived in America, boycotts were associated with labour unions.

3) The word pandemonium was coined by John Milton . The term was used in his famous literary work " Paradise lost"

> Milton coined the term by combining an Ancient Greek word ' pan' and Latin word 'daemonium' . We usually use the term to denote a place or state of utter confusion and uproar. The first known mention of Milton's pandemonium is found in the work of Joseph Addison.

4) Henry Fonda won the academy award for the best actor in 1982. He won award for the film ' On Golden Pond'

> Henry Fonda won an academy award at an age of 76 .He is the oldest winner in the best actor category till know. On Golden Pond was the second highest grossing film of 1981. The film won three academy awards for the categories Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Adapted Screenplay.
