BENEFITS OF WIC - (women , infants and children ) It is federal nutrition program for protecting and improving the health and nutrition of mother, infants which belong to low income group.

BENEFITS -

1. It improves household economic security , reduces food insecurity with hunger of pregnant women.

2. It helps in alleviating poverty and lifted 2,79,000 people above the poverty line in2017 , and provide economic stability.

3. Improves Health and we'll being , as it Improves dietary intake supports learning and development like increased iron density ,increased consumption of fruits and vegetables.

4. It improves birth outcomes reduces risk of preterm birth , low birth weight.

TARGET AUDIENCES - The target   audience are low income , nutritionally at risk , pregnant women , breast feeding women ( upto infant first birthday) infants ( serves 53% of all infants born in USA ) and children upto their 5th birthday. This target population helps in identifying the needs of low income groups and needs of food and nutrition of women and infants.WIC to help these people and Community organise  Community events , presentation which educate about WIC benefits to variety to community based Organization which also educate and make a community aware about WIC program

It meet the needs of community by acting as a pillar of healthy food access to low income families, Improve nutrition for both mother's and children

It reduces food insecurity and food inequity by providing access to health food to eligible pregnant and postportum women , infants and children
