Answer #1

we have given p=0.4 n = 25

using binomial distribution to find out the probability

p(X=x)=\binom{n}{x}p^x(1-p)^{n-x};x=0,1,2,.......,n

p(X>12x)=\sum_{x=13}^{25}\binom{25}{x}0.4^x(1-0.4)^{25-x}

= 0.154

Ans: option B) 0.154 is correct
