Answer #1

Answer: Strategy is the short and long term planning which is done inside the organizations for giving the organization a future direction so that it can effectively use its resources to meet the challenges it faces. Organizational or corporate culture is a set of beliefs, values and norms which are shared by the people inside the organization which guide their behaviors and act as a foundation or a base for the strategy. Therefore corporate culture is essential for the development and successful implementation of the strategy.

One example which I known in which the corporate culture impacted positively on the strategy execution is from my own personal experience. I was working with at a departmental store as a part time employee. The organizational culture in our store was to take new challenges and changes. Suddenly there was a new strategy introduced at our store in which we had to market a totally new product line of specialty chocolates at our store as a part of our new strategy for improving the profits. As we all were accustomed to taking new challenge we were successful in implementing this new strategy.
