Answer #1

No, because the speed is constant.

When a car is making a turn at a constant speed which means that the speed of the car is neither increasing or decreasing, then there is no net force operating on the car, and its value is zero because tangential force and a centripetal force acts on the car. The gravity will also cause a extra force in the downward direction.

Thus, the net force acting on the car is zero.

answer all the above the car has an acceleration directed in the instantaneous direction of the velocity vector. A ball is whirled on the end of a string in a horizontal circle at constant speed. Suddenly string breaks. Immediately after the string breaks, the ball will have a horizontal velocity away from the center of the circle have a horizontal velocity that is tangential to the circle. have a horizontal velocity toward the center of the circle. have a horizontal...

Problem 1: A car of mass 1000 kg moves at a constant speed of 20 m/s along a horizontal road where a frictional force is 200N. Calculate the power developed by the engine. If the car now moves up an incline at the same constant speed, calculate the new power developed by the engine. Assume that the frictional force is still 200 N and that sin(theta)=1/20 where theta is the angle of the incline to the horizontal. Problem 2: An...
