Answer #1

molar mass of compound = 869.1 gm/mol

molar mass of imperical form (CH2Br2) = 173.8 gm/ mol

(molar mass of impirical formula)n= molar mass of compound.

(CH2Br2)n= 869.1

(173.8)n = 869.1

n= 869.1 / 173.8

n= 5 so by putting the value of n in (CH2Br2)n we get

(CH2Br2)5

C5H10Br10 is the ans where

C= 5 , H= 10 , Br = 10
