To the solution of Ag+, add 6 M HCl dropwise till the precipitate is completely formed. Now you can centrifuge the turbid solution. Keep the precipitate and discard the supernatant liquid. To this precipitate, add 6 M Ammonia solution till the white precipitate dissolves. To this clear solution, add 6 M HNO3 solution which results in the reappearing of precipitate.

This is the confirmatory test for Ah+ ion
