      "Well, I don't think Strieber would lie. Also, Ruben told us an amazing personal story. He was out camping a year ago, and after he'd killed off a couple of six-packs of Moosehead, he says he saw a UFO. So, I think we have to conclude there really are UFOs."

It’s true that this is a unqualified authority fallacy which arise when people place more emphasis on ordinary people who are not the subject matter experts or formal authority to announce something. In this case although Strieber is a famous writer, he is not an official authority to prove that besides he is a horror story writer and it could be out of that experience. Secondly, Ruben is an ordinary person who has come up with her own version of the story. Unfortunately, they are not authority figures to confirm the existence of UFO.
