My answer is supposed to look like the table above, but I am struggling. You have missed joining condition between the tables cust and workdetail.
select cust.cid, sum(workdetail.actualhrs) "totalhrs" from cust,workdetail where cust.commoncolumn=workdetail.commoncolumn group by cust.cid;
In place of commoncolumn find out the common column and put it. Actually i don't have your schema that's why.
