a) here for 01 > 41.8 ,06 = 02,hence it is the critical angle.

b) using snell's law ni sini = n2siniz , using total internal reflection's condition we put0 = 0,02 = 90°

hence sin-1 (ng/n, sin90 =c = sin-(1/1.5) = 41.8°
