Answer 1: Macronutrients
Micro organism require nutrients from their environment which they use for growth, development and metabolism. The nutrients which an organism need are known as essential nutrients and they include carbon, oxygen, hydrogen, phosphorus, and sulfur. The essential nutrients which are needed in large quantities are known as macro nutrients and which are required in small quantities are known as micro nutrients macro-nutrients (which are needed in large amounts) and micro-nutrients (which are needed in trace or small amounts). Macro-nutrients usually help maintain the cell structure and metabolism. Micro-nutrients help enzyme function and maintain protein structure.
Answer 2 : Generation time
It is the time taken by the cells to double its number during a specified time period.
Answer 3: Psychrophiles
psychrophiles or cryophiles are the organisms which have the ability to grow and reproduc in low temperatures, ranging from −20 °C to +10 °C. As refrigerator have very low temperature they were able to grow.
Answer4: Oxygen
Obligate anaerobes lack superoxide dismutase and catalase and/or peroxidase, and therefore undergo lethal oxidations by various oxygen radicals when they are exposed to O2.
QUESTION 9 Microorganisms require large quantities of this nutrient for use in cell structure and metabolism:...
ive attached an image as a reference for the plate data. For question #2 (second image), construct a x-y scatter plot graph with temp ranges ok X axis amd amount of growth (turbidity) (0,1,2,3) on y axis. use different color or symbol per organism. DO NOT connect the dots. For each species, record a "3" for the temperature(s) with maximum growth and "0" for no growth. Use "1" and "2" for intermediate amounts of growth. Broth Data Organism 10°C 25°C...
