4. (a) An MSc programme at a particular university consists of two distinct stages. Stage 1, which involves six months of classroom work, is followed by stage 2, which is a six-month project. From past experience, the university expects only 75% of those beginning stage 1 to be progressed into stage 2, with the remaining 25% dropped completely from the programme. Of those who make it to the project, 65% are graduated with an MSc, 15% are asked to repeat the project, and 20% are dropped completely from the programme. Find the number of MSc graduates that the university expects from its current programme, if it has 80 students in the classroom stage and 50 students in the project stage. [12 Marks]
