A current will flow left-to-right through the
loop
As the magnet is approaching the loop, the magnetic field lines are
increasing through the loop. Since it is the north side of the
magnet, the field lines are directed into the loop. The induced
magnetic field must be directed towards the top of the page to
counter the magnetic field of the magnet. For this, the current has
to anticlockwise (looking from above the loop). So the
current must flow from left to right through the
resistor to produce such a magnetic field.
