A super jail's houses by ther term itself describes the most
secure jail's,extremely violent or severely disruptive inmates.
These types of prisons can stand alone, or be within a prison.
Since these prisons hold what you could say as, the worst of the
worst criminals. Supermax prisons are beneficial to have especially
due to the high numbers of extremely violent and disruptive
inmates. They provide safety, improve prisoner’s behavior, they
carry out punishment and maintain order, and they are
goal-oriented.Gresham M.
Sykes (1958/2007) argued that five fundamental
deprivations characterized daily prison life, known collectively as
the “pains of imprisonment.” These were the loss of liberty,
desirable goods and services, heterosexual relationships, autonomy,
and security.
The prison system is owned by private companies and is a for-profit
system. This motivates things such as the legal system to shift
toward a focus on laws being used to make profits, the next problem
is that this increases the rates of incarceration. Prison labor is
common and they are not paid the same and so businesses can exploit
this to their own gain. The prison industrial system has also led
to an increase in a general tend for the legal system to make laws
harsher "to be tough on crime"and deter it this has only made more
prisoners and now made many crimes more serious.OPIRD (Office of
the Independent Police Review Director) it is basically a agency

Asley Smith born in 1988 Moncton, adopted as a young child, Ashley Smith was a very troubled and rebellious teenager. On one occasion, Ashley was charged with the crime, actually a childish prank of “throwing crabapples at a postal worker.” Ashley was convicted and sentenced to detention in New Brunswick Youth Centre where she was frequently punished and segregated, thrown in solitary confinement for roughly three consecutive years.
From 2006 to 2007, the last 11 to 12 months of Ashley’s life, CSC managers had transferred Ashley to a total of 9 prisons and psychoprisons; in virtually every prison she was segregated and physically restrained her as an “acting out”, ”difficult” or disruptive inmate – the psychologists and psychiatrists were complicit in labeling and stigmatizing Ashley as a “borderline personality disorder”.Ashley frequently lashed out while trying to assert and protect herself from daily “interventions” or uses of force by the guards. More alarming, she was becoming increasingly desperate and suicidal. died by self-inflicted strangulation on 19 October 2007 while under suicide watch in custody at the Grand Valley Institution for Women.
