For diying the virus off-springs , 1 st virus has off-springs. For having off-spring virus has to double itself. so the probability of doubling itself is 1/3. now after doubling we get 2 viruses and each having the probability of dying is 1/3 respectively. so the probability of virus and its off-spring will die = 1/3 * 1/3 * 1/3 = 1/27
