Our task is to find cumulative frequency distribution from the given frequency distribution table.
Here we can find cumulative frequency distribution by two types,
i) less than type:
which is we will get by adding class frequency one by one with the subsequent frequencies. Finally ended up with total frequency in the last class.
ii) greater than type:
which is we will get by adding class frequency one by one with the subsequent frequencies from the last class. Finally ended up with total frequency in the first class.
For easy visualization, the calculations are given below,
LL | UL | Freq | Cumulative freq (less than) | Cumulative freq (Greater than) |
5 | 12 | 6 | 6 | 20 |
13 | 20 | 5 | 11 | 14 |
21 | 28 | 2 | 13 | 9 |
29 | 36 | 2 | 15 | 7 |
37 | 44 | 5 | 20 | 5 |
Total | 20 |
