Inorder to be a reducing sugar it should contain free or ketone group. Glucose, fructose all contain free aldehyde and ketone group. Free aldehyde and ketone can reduce feelings and tollens reagents. The carbonyl carbon is the anomeric carbon. When open chain structure changes to closed structure, the anomeric carbon now contains OH group. Thus wherever there is OH is attached to anomeric carbon, it implies it is cyclized from free aldehyde and ketone, and thus are reducing sugar. In option a, b and d all anomeric carbon contains OH group and are reducing sugar whereas c contains OCH3 group and it is non reducing sugar.
