Ans 1. The rubber stopper will pop out of the test tube.

When baking soda is heated, white solid of sodium carbonate and gaseous products, water vapor and carbon dioxide will be formed.

Since, water is present in its gaseous form, neither you can detect rise in water level nor bubble formation.

Also, white solid will be produced neither smoky nor grey product.

Due to the formation of gaseous products, the pressure inside the test tube increases and at a certain time, it will exceed external pressure and the rubber stopper will pop out to release this pressure.

Ans 2. All of the choices.

We should wear protective glasses to protect our eyes, lab coat to protect our body and shoes to protect our feet.

We should prevent burning ourselves from Bunsen burner, hot glasswares, etc.

We should heat test tube slowly and the mouth of the test tube should be away from our face. In case of vigourous reaction, any chemical can spill on our face or if gaseous products are being formed, they can enter through our nose. We should protect ourselves from these situations.

Ans 3. Actual yield.

Amount of product obtained experimentally is known as actual yield.

Amount of product formed theoretically is known as Theoretical yield.

Percentage yield is the percent ratio of actual yield to theoretical yield.

Reaction yield is the ratio of amount of product formed from the given amount of reactant.
