If we toss a fair coin three times then possible outcomes are given by,

S={HHH,HHT,HTH,THH,TTH,THT,HTT,TTT}

Here each outcomes are equally likely.

i.e, the probability of occurrence each outcomes is 1/8

Here we need to find the probability that tosses all are the same,

i.e, P(HHH\ or\ TTT)

=P(HHH)+P(TTT)

=\frac{1}{8}+\frac{1}{8}

=\frac{2}{8}

=\frac{1}{4}

=0.25

The probability is 0.25
