Answer #1

Option - F) H_{0}: p = 0.31

H_{1}: p \neq 0.31

The test statistic is

z = \frac{\widehat p - p}{\sqrt{\frac{p(1 - p)}{n}}}

= \frac{0.26 - 0.31}{\sqrt{\frac{0.31(1 - 0.31)}{111}}}

= -1.14

P-value = 2 * P(Z < -1.14)

= 2 * 0.127

= 0.254

Since the P-value is greater than \alpha , so we should not reject the null hypothesis.

Option - C) Fail to reject the null hypothesis. Ther is insufficient evidence that the rate of unethical business practice exposure is different from that reported.
