Difference between live assets and dead assets is as follows:

1.Dead assets are the properties / assets carried out in accounting books that has neither present nor propective value

while live assets are the properties / assets carried out in accounting books but has present or prospective value.

2. Examples of dead assets is the investments in shares or stocks of companies that are not expected to improve the share prices but the prices has deadlined to a negligible level.

Examples of live assets includes: inventories held for resale or cash equivalents etc.
