Answer #1

Answer is as follows:

Correct Option: general ledger accounts and balances

A trial balance is a list of all general ledger accounts and balances. The ledger balances are compiled innto debit and credit balances according to the nature of ledger accounts.Preparation of trial balance allows us to find out any mathematical or accounting errors occured in book keeping system before preparing financial statements. If debit and credit amounts are equal then it is considered as balanced. Balanced means there may not be any mathematical errors but there may be a chance of accounting errors eventhough balanced.
