Each year Fortune magazine publishes a "Most Admired" list of the top companies in the United States. Firms are rated on these eight dimensions: innovativeness, quality of management, long-term investment value, social responsibility to the community and the environment, people management, quality of products and services, financial soundness, wise use of corporate assets, and, if international, a ninth dimension: effectiveness in doing business globally.

For this assignment, Amazon is the organization with which you are familiar. Then, choose one of the eight dimensions used to rate top U.S. companies in which the organization appears to be underperforming.

Your presentation should address the following:

1. Explain the ramifications the underperformance is currently having on the organization. Identify the likely consequence of failure to improve in the selected dimension.

In 2020, Amazone is listed as the 2nd position in Fortune 500 companies.It is acquired the position by beating the worlds largest retail giant Walmart. Key drivers for the so-called Everything Store’s growth is that its consumer bundle keeps expanding. Its Prime delivery and entertainment subscription service counts more than 150 million global customers. As in prior years, the company’s Amazon Web Services unit outpaced the company as a whole, growing revenue at a 37% clip to $35 billion.

Inorder to determine the score Fortune conducted survey of corporate reputations in collaboration with Korn among1,500 candidates: the 1,000 largest U.S. companies ranked by revenue, along with non-U.S. companies in Fortune’s Global 500 database that have revenues of $10 billion or more. Then they winnowed the assortment to the highest-revenue companies in each industry, a total of 680 in 30 countries. The top-rated companies were picked from that pool of 680; the executives who voted work at the companies in that group.

To determine the best-regarded companies in 52 industries, Korn Ferry asked executives, directors, and analysts to rate enterprises in their own industry on nine criteria, from investment value and quality of management and products to social responsibility and ability to attract talent. A company’s score must rank in the top half of its industry survey to be listed.
