Working:

Total sick leave entitlement for 2016 = 100 employees x 5 days = 500 days

Sick leave taken during 2016 = 300 days

Unused sick leave at December 31, 2016 = 500 - 300 = 200 days

Estimated sick leave that will be taken during 2017 = 60% x 200 = 120 days

Sick leave liability at December 31, 2016 = 120 days x $150 = $18000
