Answer #1

Ans.12. Markup refers to the margin/profit between selling price and cost price. Markup is generally a percentage of cost.

Here, cost price = $25.20

Markup = 40%

So, markup cost = 40%*$25.20

=$10.08

So, retail price = Cost price + markup

= $25.20 + $10.08

= $35.28

So,

Cost$

Mark Up cost

Retail $

$25.20

$10.08

$35.28
