The growth rate of nominal GDP between 1993 and 2013 is 100×((Xfinal/Xinitial)^(1/N)?1)

= ((16663/6879)^(1/20) - 1 )*100

= (2.4^(1/20) - 1 )*100

= (1.045- 1 )*100

= 4.5%

the growth rate of the GDP deflator between 1993 and 2013 is 100×((Xfinal/Xinitial)^(1/N)?1)

= ((106.9/72.3)^(1/20) - 1 )*100

= (1.48^(1/20) - 1 )*100

= (1.02- 1 )*100

= 2%
