Note that the sequence (a_{n}) momotically increasing and it is not bounded above. Hence the sequence diverges to infinity.

(b). The series diverges to infinity.

Note that given series is a series of positive terms. Hence it either converges to a real number of diverges to infinity. For any convergent series the nth term tends to zero as n tends to infinity. Here the nth term does not tend to zero. Therefore , we get , the series diverges to infinity.
