Right tailed test;

\small Test\; \; Statistic : Z_{stat}=\frac{\overline{x}-\mu _{o}}{\sigma /\sqrt{n}} =\frac{(48.8-47)}{4.3/\sqrt{40}}=\frac{1.8}{0.6799}=2.6474

For right tailed test:

\small \\P-Value = P(Z>Z_{stat}) = P(Z>2.6474) \\\\= 1-P(Z<2.6474)=1-0.9959=0.0041

As P-Value i.e. is less than Level of significance i.e (P-value:0.0041 < 0.01:Level of significance); Reject Null Hypothesis
