Following are the 7 assumptions of the Single channel Queing model are :

  1. The number of arrivals per unit at a time is described by poisson distribution. where the mean arrival rate is denoted by λ.Which will help the organization to short the queing process.
  2. There is no unusual customer behavior.
  3. Arrivals are from infinite population.
  4. The queue discipline is FIFO,so,that the customers can served on the basis of first come first serve basis.
  5. The mean arrival time is less than the mean service rate.
  6. The source population has infinite size.
  7. The waiting space available for customers in the queue is infinite.Means, the waiting space between the two customer is infinite.
