According to law of dilution MV = M'V'
Where
M = Molarity of stock = (10 x percent of purity x density)/molar mass of HCl
= ( 10 x 37.0 x 1.20g/mL ) / 36.5 (g/mole)
= 12.16 M
V = Volume of the stock = ?
M' = Molarity of dilute solution = 0.575 M
V' = Volume of the dilute solution = 2.75 L
Plug the values we get, V = (M'V')/M
= ( 0.575 x 2.75) / 12.16
= 0.130 L
= 130mL
So take 130 mL of concentrated solution and make upto 2.75 L with water we get required solution
