Acupuncture is a form of treatment which involves piercing or inserting very tiny needles in the skin at specific points or areas. It claims to cure certain illness like body pain, headache, regulating acidity, etcetera. Researches show no scientifically proven results of this treatment. However, it is thought to balance vital energy which relieves pains and similar ailments and others believe that it has a neurological effect. It's effect could also be psychological as this method of treatment is not scientifically proven.
