k= permeability of the permeable soil

H= Head difference between upstream and downstream

N_f= no. of flow channels

N_d= no. of equipotential drops

K=4.4 x 10^-3 cm/sec

N_f= no. of flow lines - 1=3-1=2

N_d= no. of equipotential lines - 1=104-1=103

H=60.3-54.88=5.42 m = 542 cm

$q=4.4\times 10^{-3}\times 542\times \frac{2}{103}$

$q=0.0463cm^3/sec$ per m length of the canal
