You are assigned a task of setting up experimental apparatus for a heat treatment experiment using a tube furnace. The heat treatment requires a maximum temperature of 1500 °C and the heat treatment will last for about 5 hours in room atmosphere. The temperature accuracy required for the sample and homogeneity of the temperature throughout the sample of 10mmx20mmx100mm dimension is ±5 °C. you will need to use DAQ and Labview to automate the temperature control and recording. The temperature measurement itself should have a precision of ±0.5 °C.

  1. What type of heating element (heater material) and thermal couple will you choose and why

can you write a conclusion for the report? Thermal Conductivity Lab Introduction The objective of this lab is to explore the thermal conductivity of various materials using Fourier’s Law and a steady state system. Certain materials are more effective heat conductors than others. The effectiveness of a given material at heat conduction is influenced by many factors, including density, molecular structure, and chemical composition. Fourier’s Law takes these factors into account to calculate Q, or the joules per second rate...

Experiment Write Up Proposal You will write up a synthesis procedure for one reaction that could be potentially run in a face- to-face Chem 2321 lab session. Your proposal will include an introduction and procedure. The procedure will include step-by-step instructions for running the reaction (including reaction monitoring), work-up. (product isolation and purification), and analysis (characterization). You will need to include sample calculations for percent yield and provide sample spectra analysis. You must upload your proposal as a single document...
