Anode : Ni ----------> Ni2+ + 2e- Eo = + 0.25 V

Cathode: Ni2+ + 2e- ---------> Ni Eo = - 0.25 V

------------------------------------------------

Ni + Ni2+ ----------> Ni2+ + Ni

no of electrons involved = 2

Eocell = anode potential + cathode potential

= +0.25 V -0.25 V

= 0 V

E = Eo - (0.059/n)log [Ni2+]/[Ni2+]

= 0 - (0.059/2) log [0.015/0.015]

= 0

E = 0 V

Therefore,

potential of this cell = 0 V
