YES The function z = ax + by +c requires to load the values of the variables, multiply the value a*x, b*y, c and add these values and then to store the result in z.To speed up the execution time, the accelerator is used. The accelerator reads the inputs form the processor and perform the computation and sends the result back to the processor. Thus using the accelerator, the equation can be executed quickly.

Without the use of accelerator the instruction may take many cycles for the processor to complete the computation. By using accelerator the function can be executed in less cycles.
