1. E stilbene has less energy than the Z-Stilbene

because in Z- stilbene both the phenyl groups are in same side

2. E- stilbene has longer wavelength than Z- stilbene

because in E- estilbene coplanarity will exist so effective conjugation will be there but that is not possible in Z- stilbene because

in Z stilbene one of the Ph group will go out of the plane in order to reduce the repulsive energy so co planarity will miss which results effectve conjugation will miss.

Z-stilbene has liquid at room temperature
